Impex believes in supporting its local community. We are also concerned about our neighbors around the world and thus support humanitarian efforts when crises occur. Recently Impex donated products to support the earthquake relief efforts.

History

Impex is a family owned and run business founded by the Larach family in Miami, Florida in 1994. Impex performs manufacturing, packaging, marketing and selling of disposable baby diapers, training pants, baby wipes, adult incontinence, and household goods products for customers located in over 50 countries.

Best of Local Business Award in Infant and Baby Products

The US Commerce Association (USCA) has awarded Impex of Doral the 'Best of Local Business 2009 Miami Award in the Infant & Baby Products' category. Each year, the USCA identifies companies that they believe have achieved exceptional marketing success and enhance the positive image of small business through service to their customers. Impex was founded as a sanitary paper products exporting company to Latin America and the Caribbean in 1994 in Miami, Florida. Over the years Impex has steadily grown and integrated into manufacturing of disposable baby diapers. Today Impex exports its product to over 50 countries and services over 150 customers.

City Key Award

On December 16th 2009 Mayor Carlos Alvarez awarded Impex of Doral the City Key in honor of significant contribution to the Miami-Dade economy in the area of job creation, business expansion and corporate leadership in a ceremony organized yearly by The Beacon Council. Impex's investment in a complete baby diaper converting line brings additional manufacturing capacity to Impex and more jobs to the local community.

Governor's Business Diversification Award Nomination

In July 2010 Impex of Doral has been nominated for the 2010 State of Florida Governor's Business Diversification Award in Export Excellence Category. Impex exporting expertise and global reach consistently bring new dollars into the State of Florida and Miami Dade County economies. Impex is applauded for their commitment to product diversity, staff development, and community outreach.
